TP Youtube Teaser Recap and Answer (#1)

Hey friend! We've recently just posted our first Youtube Alumni Video! This week's it was about one of TP Business School's fellow alumni where we explored his journey and thoughts on life as a business student. We do this in hopes that you will get a first hand look or account from someone who has already gone through the process. :)

This week's video covered Darryl Yong, the Singaporean Actor!

Yong was a contestant on Star Search 2010 and was one of the top 10 finalists! Ever since that he has been working with MediaCorp in both English and Chinese language productions.
Yong graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a diploma in Law and Management!

" Even now as I have a career in Acting, I find myself going back and using the skills that I picked up during my time in LAW at TP Business School. It doesn't just teach you the workings of law and business, but also practical skills that can be applied to daily life. And I think that's the most valuable thing you can get from education. My classmates and tutors all made it a very enjoyable experience for me and I truly cherished my time at TP Business School."

Business Course - Communications & Media Management (T40)

Hello yet again potential student :D

This time, we will be showcasing the Diploma in Communications & Media Management or CMM as it's called for short.

The media industry is an ever-changing landscape. Newspapers, television and radio have dramatically changed over the past few years, in no small part due to the internet. In this age, anyone can write or produce and be heard by hundreds, thousands, even millions of other people. But it’s still communications professionals – like the journalist, the video specialist or radio deejay – that command the most credibility and respect for their creativity and command of the language. So what will you learn in this course you ask?

Well let's just say a great many things. ;) You will learn the foundations of media and communications in the form of interesting theoretical and practical subjects. From photography and graphic design to journalism and media concepts, you learn basic skills and theoretical knowledge to function as media professionals.

Get into the swing of things - develop material for Radio, TV and Digital Media. Produce engaging media content in the TV and Radio studios as well as computer labs. Work for major media corporations in a 6-month internship program where you will apply the skills and knowledge acquired. Build up your network of clients and embark on your major project in the final semester. Check out this video on the right to see a live session of 987 that took place in CMM! Yes,

Here is fellow CMM student thought's on CMM.

"CMM has really taught me a lot; not just in technical skills but also how to communicate and work cohesively with other people. And I have my classmates and tutors helping me every step of the way. Because if there is one thing that CMM embodies, it is teamwork. In the actual work society, I believe that applies as well. CMM has showed me that language is one of the most powerful tools and knowing how to wield it will be one of the most useful things you'll ever learn."  - Ranette Chin, Class of 2017

See you in the next post! ^_^
